The “Six Steps to Wellness in Malden” community walk series kicked off with Step One at the Malden High School gymnasium on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Malden Mayor, Richard Howard, Mayor-Elect, Gary Christenson, and AADI Director, Dr. George King, welcomed the excited registrants with opening remarks. The registrants learned about A1C, received a complimentary screening, and took a Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement. We encouraged registrants to be more aware of their physical activity levels through our participant questionnaire. Special thanks to the AADI volunteers and Malden High School Key Club members for their help with this event!
