AADI reached out to the South Asian community at our “Namaste to Wellness” health fair at Chinmaya Mission Boston in Andover, MA. Over 50 participants attended Dr. Greeshma Shetty’s presentation about Type 2 Diabetes and an exercise workout session led by Joslin’s exercise physiologist, Jackie Shahar. We also conducted A1C screenings and took BMI measurements for interested parents and family members.
Many program participants had not received an A1C screening before and were excited to learn more about diabetes prevention and management. Doctors Greeshma Shetty and Zhiheng He were present to answer participants’ questions. A special thanks to Chinmaya Mission Boston for inviting us!
