Joslin Asian Clinic’s second walk of the “Six Steps of Summer” series brought out 16 patients and their families and friends. Returning walkers were proud to show us their logbooks where some had walked more than 20,000 steps a day on their own! New walkers were excited to get their own pedometers and join in on the fun. Again, the average age for this Saturday walking group was 70 years old, with our oldest walker at an impressive 82 years old. This energetic group averaged 3258 steps and exchanged smiles and stories with AADI volunteers as they walked around the Boston Common. Special thanks to our amazing group of volunteers from Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Tufts Medical Center, Japan and Joslin Diabetes Center!

We are able to continue our activities, explore critical research areas, and implement new programs through the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations. We are dedicated to our mission and remain inspired not only by those who live with diabetes, but those who have made diabetes their cause.
